You reminded me to go and check my potato plants and I'm delighted to see they have come through at last. We are having the coldest spring for 30 years here in Switzerland. Planting on a much smaller scale than you but we will have some of our own potato salads this summer with strawberries for desert! Thanks for visiting my blog. Nice to have discovered your site.

Tanya - I just wanted to say thank you for the terrific review! It's not often that I read something like this. Not many people want open minded honesty - it's so much more fun to have something that just affirms what you already believe. It sounds like we are cut from the same cloth more or less, so I hope you keep in touch.

I'm right there with you Tammy! I want to do the research into this for real at some point, but I find the AAP's position that sunshine should always be avoided if possible hard to swallow. That's because I tend to lean natural (my wife is the opposite - she wants to protect our daughter from the sun - I want to protect her from the sunscreen!)

I never knew about this until yesterday because I heard it on the radio and I really liked that Israel stopped for two minutes to honor the lost. Although I am not Jewish, but am Christian and so is my family, my Oma (grandmother) in Germany had to hide and go days without eating so that she wouldn't be found. One of her brothers was enlisted and was never the same because of all the things that they made him do. Thank you for sharing this and let us all remember and learn from the past.
